FLM Live Auction Admin Guide
How to configure, schedule, control, reconcile and commit a Fan League Manager Live Auction.
Overview
FLM Live Auction is the built-in auction system for private or closed leagues with unique-player ownership.
The admin page controls setup, scheduling, status, messages, activity review, result reconciliation and final squad commit.
Requirements
- The selected league must be accessible to the current admin.
- The league must use unique-player ownership.
- The Live Auction schema must be installed.
- A valid league scoring period must exist.
- Available league players need valid positions and usable minimum prices.
- Managers need active squads and working logins before bidding begins.
Create or edit an auction
Create a draft auction and configure:
- Auction name
- Scoring period from which committed players enter squads
- Unified start time
- First lot close time
- Seconds between later close times
- Bid increment of 0.10 or 0.50
- Late-bid extension window, extension length and maximum extensions
- Manager visibility: hidden, position needs only, or fully open
- Whether max bids are enabled
- Whether post-auction free agency is enabled and when it opens
- Admin notes
Draft and scheduled auctions can be edited. Active, paused, closed and committed auctions cannot be edited through the setup form.
Generate the schedule
Generate / Regenerate Schedule creates one lot for each eligible available footballer not already owned for the selected scoring period.
The initial order is:
- Minimum bid, highest first
- Position
- Player name
All lots share the unified opening time. Lot 1 closes at the first close time, with later close times spaced by the configured interval.
Reorder lots
Before bids exist, the admin can:
- Swap two lot numbers and their close times.
- Move a selected country, club or position block to another final lot position.
- Search and filter the schedule by status and position.
Reordering recalculates lot numbers and close times. It is blocked once bids have been recorded.
Run the auction
Activate Auction
Changes a scheduled auction to active after schedule integrity checks pass. Bidding still waits until the unified start time.
Start Bidding Now
For an active auction that has not opened yet, this opens future pending lots immediately. Existing close times are not moved.
Pause Auction
Temporarily freezes bidding.
Resume Auction
Re-enables bidding and shifts future pending close times back by the duration of the pause.
Close Auction
Ends the auction and marks every remaining pending lot as sold or unsold. This does not add footballers to squads.
Messages
An optional message can accompany a start, pause, resume or close action.
The admin can also send a standalone broadcast message. Messages appear in the manager auction room with their type and time.
Activity and bid cancellation
The auction activity table shows lots with bids, max bids or final results.
The admin can cancel the current accepted high bid on a pending lot when correction is required.
- A reason is mandatory.
- The bid remains in the audit history as rejected.
- A linked active max bid is cancelled where applicable.
- FLM recalculates the current leader from the remaining accepted bids.
Resolve lots
During the current alpha flow, loading the manager auction room resolves expired pending lots to sold or unsold.
Resolve Due Lots remains available as an admin fallback or reconciliation control for active or closed auctions.
When a closed auction still contains pending lots, Finalise Remaining Lots marks pending lots with valid bids as sold and all remaining pending lots as unsold.
Commit sold lots
Commit is allowed only when:
- The auction is closed and not already committed.
- No pending lots remain.
- The scoring period belongs to the selected league.
- Every sold lot has a valid winning bid, squad and amount.
- No sold footballer already has an active owner.
- No affected squad would exceed its squad-size or budget limit.
- Every affected squad can still complete the configured starting XI.
Commit writes each sold footballer into the winning squad from the selected scoring period and changes the auction status to Committed.
Post-auction free agency
When enabled, unsold footballers can become available after the auction has been committed.
The admin may set an opening time. Managers then buy eligible unsold footballers at the displayed minimum price on a first-come-first-served basis.
Each purchase still passes ownership, squad-size, budget, position and formation checks.
Create another auction
A new draft can be created from the settings of a closed or committed auction.
The new auction keeps the previous structural settings but requires new start and close times before its schedule is generated.
Already-owned footballers are excluded from the new schedule.
Troubleshooting
The page says the league is not eligible
Check that the selected league uses unique-player ownership.
The schedule will not generate
Check the unified start, first close, scoring period, eligible player pool, positions and minimum-price setup. Regeneration is blocked after bids exist.
The auction will not activate
The schedule integrity check may have found missing times, mismatched opening times, invalid close times or no scheduled lots.
Commit is blocked
Review the readiness messages for pending lots, missing winners, ownership conflicts, squad capacity, budget or formation issues.
